Hello, I'm Grace Alexander and I am a filmmaker, photographer, and fine artist based in Bristol, UK.
I specialise in documentary filmmaking with a particular focus on topics relating to the personal impact of the climate crisis and environmental issues. I have experience in directing/ developing short documentaries, as well as working as production manager, producer, and cinematographer/ camera operator on a variety of short form projects.
My work has been screened at festivals including Cinemagic film festival in which my film 'Artificial Nostalgia' was awarded best film in the Short Shorts category. Most recently, my film The Last Generation has been selected in the short Documentary category at the 2023 Cinemagic young filmmaker festival.
Alongside my film work, I am also a self- taught fine artist working mostly with oil paints. My work has recently been exhibited at The Gallery Holt, and has won the Sworders art prize at the 2020 Holt Festival.
